Enjoying Your 4×4 to the Fullest!

Adventure Awaits

Taking a vehicle that was designed to go “off road”, onto the trails is an exhilarating experience when done with other people. The sense of team-work to get everyone safely through obstacles, getting stuck and unstuck is all part of the thrill.

No Need to go Solo

Joining Durham 4×4 ORC to “hit the trails” helps reduce the risk of accidentally taking paths you should avoid for both safety and legal reasons and allows you to join groups versus risking going solo.

Planned Events

Either simple local trails to dip your toes in, or sweet fall colour trail runs the whole family can enjoy. Durham 4×4 trail events range in complexity and are discussed during the weekly stand-ins and/or on the private Facebook page.

Requirements

To ensure the best possible experience, your vehicle should have the following:

  • Front and rear recovery points (ClassIII hitch and/or OE tow hooks)
  • Working 4×4 with 4×4-Low transfercase
  • At least 10″ of ground clearance (measured from the lowest hanging piece under the vehicle)
  • Good All terrain or mud terrain tires (and spare)
  • Recovery gear such as recovery straps, kinetic recovery rope, soft shackles, shovel
  • Radio (We recommend the RA85)
